Clintwood, Va., man shoots and kills man, then himself, police say

WISE, Va. -- A Wise man was shot to death through the front door of his house on Coeburn Mountain Road late Wednesday, authorities said.
Police arrived shortly after the shooting, in a residential neighborhood just two miles from the University of Virginia?s College at Wise. Robert Edward Nash, 39, was taken by helicopter to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn., where he was pronounced dead.
His 16-year-old son was just a room away from where his father was shot down.
Sheriff Ronnie Oakes called the shooting a domestic situation.
The man police said was the shooter, Bradley Stanley, 28, of Brush Creek Road in Clintwood, took off in a truck and, sometime later, called ****enson County emergency dispatch and gave a statement confessing to the shooting.

I believe the deceased has bought a good many antiques from me over the years, so have other members of his family (unless I am confusing him with someone else).

Guess I should have said (victim) since both are deceased.

His dad was principal and AHS several years ago and was at one time an assistant football coach there.

Robert was a good man. Until recently he was the manager of Rite Aid in Clintwood. Supposedly, this was over a woman.

Be in prayer for the Nash Family. Robbie played football at Appalachia, his 16 year old son plays for Kelly now. His dad was Bob Nash, former principal at Appalachia, and if I'm not mistaken he played high school ball with Carroll Dale at Kelly and Bob went on to be head football coach at Coeburn at one time.

Bob was killed several years back in a car wreck.
